Privacy notice
Last updated 27 October 2026.
1. What this notice covers
This notice explains what personal information FIXD collects when you use our website and book home services in DHA Lahore and Askari, why we collect it, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
It covers customers, people who enquire without booking, and the technicians on our roster. Pakistan has no comprehensive data-protection statute in force yet; we handle your information as if a modern one applied, and we tell you plainly what we do with it.
2. Who we are
FIXD is operated by FIXD (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED, which is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
Postal address: 278 EE, Phase 4, DHA Lahore. Privacy email: FIDXMANAGEMENT@GMAIL.COM. You can also contact us on 0371 427 4310 by phone or WhatsApp about your information.
3. Information we collect
Account details: your mobile number (used to sign you in with a one-time code), and optionally your full name and email address.
Booking details: the services you book, your description of the problem, the service address, your chosen date and time, and any photographs you upload with a booking.
Saved addresses: addresses you choose to save in your account to make future bookings quicker.
Job records: the final invoice amount, technician notes, photographs of completed work, and receipts for parts and materials purchased for your job.
Reviews: any star rating or comment you leave for a technician after a completed job.
Messages: the content of messages and calls between you and FIXD about a booking or complaint.
On-device storage: your chosen service area, the contents of your basket, and your sign-in session are kept on your own device so the site works properly between visits.
Technician information: identity and vetting records, trade skills and experience, contact details, the jobs assigned and their outcomes, invoice and earnings records, and the ratings and reviews a customer leaves for that technician.
4. How we use it
To create and manage your account and sign you in securely.
To process your bookings, assign a technician, and keep you updated on the status of your job.
To record completed work, final prices and your acceptance of completed jobs.
To record payments made directly by customers to technicians and calculate the technician's share and FIXD commission. FIXD does not receive the customer's payment or pay the technician on the customer's behalf.
To maintain quality across our technician roster, including by using customer ratings and job outcomes to assess technician performance.
To respond when you contact us with a question, issue, warranty claim or complaint.
To prevent fraud, abuse and repeated no-shows, and to keep our records accurate.
To send promotional messages where you have agreed to receive them.
We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell your personal information.
5. Why we are allowed to use it
Most of what we do with your information is necessary to carry out the booking you asked for: assigning a technician, recording the work and invoicing it.
Other things rely on your choice: signing in with a code, saving addresses, uploading photographs, leaving a review, and receiving promotional messages. You can withdraw any of those choices at any time and it will not affect jobs already completed.
6. Who can see your information
The assigned technician can see the customer name and phone number supplied for that booking, the service address, date and time slot, booked services, problem descriptions and notes, booking photographs, and the relevant job and payment records needed to carry out the work. They cannot access your unrelated bookings, account email or saved-address list.
FIXD management can see bookings, permitted job records and contact details to run the service, review work, review direct customer-to-technician payment records and handle complaints. Management access to technician work photographs is subject to the 45-day limit explained below.
After FIXD assigns a technician, customers can see the assigned technician's name and trade in their booking before the visit. A particular technician or rating is not promised before booking.
We share information with the service providers who help us operate — the provider that delivers sign-in codes and job messages by SMS, the cloud provider that hosts the website, database and private photo storage, and WhatsApp for messages where used. Each is told to use the information only to provide that service.
Payment is made directly to the technician, so we do not pass your bank or card details to a payment provider.
We will disclose information where the law requires it, for example to a lawful request from the police or a regulator.
7. Information sent outside Pakistan
Some of our providers operate outside Pakistan. The provider that delivers sign-in codes and job messages by SMS, and the cloud provider that hosts our data, may process and store information outside the country, where different laws apply.
We use those providers because they are reliable and secure, we limit what they receive to what they need, and we do not allow them to use your information for their own purposes.
8. Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies or third-party analytics to follow you around the web, and we do not sell or share your browsing with advertisers.
The site stores a small amount of information on your own device: your chosen service area, your basket, and your sign-in session. Clearing your browser's site data signs you out and empties your basket.
9. Photographs, receipts and other people
Booking photographs, technician work photographs, receipts and payment proof are stored privately. Access is limited to the booking customer, the authorised assigned technician and FIXD management, subject to the work-photo limit below.
Management can view technician work photographs before customer acceptance and for 45 days after the first customer acceptance. The first acceptance starts the access window permanently: later invoice edits or renewed acceptance do not restart it. Both photo records and access to new photo links are restricted after the cutoff. This does not delete the stored files or remove the customer's or authorised assigned technician's access. Receipts, payment proof and original customer booking photographs are not subject to this management work-photo cutoff.
Previously issued work-photo links can remain valid for up to 60 seconds from issue. Already displayed images, downloads and screenshots cannot be recalled. An expired link does not mean the stored file has been deleted.
Photographs of a home can show personal belongings, and sometimes people. Please do not upload images that show other identifiable people without their consent.
We use these images only to carry out the job, to check quality, to support a warranty or damage report, and to answer a query about a charge.
10. How long we keep it
Account information is kept while your account is active.
Pakistan's normal tax year ends on 30 June. Tax records must generally be retained for six years after the end of the tax year to which they relate. FIXD adopts a seven-year retention period after that 30 June as a buffer, and retains relevant records longer while tax proceedings, litigation, investigations or unresolved disputes are pending. For example, a job completed on 27 October 2026 falls in the tax year ending 30 June 2027; its records are retained through 30 June 2034.
Booking and invoice records, related booking photographs, work photographs, receipts, payment proof and service messages are retained for seven years after the end of the relevant Pakistan tax year. Later related records extend the retention deadline; open cases place records on hold. Records become eligible for secure deletion after that deadline and any hold has ended; deletion is reviewed rather than promised to occur on the exact anniversary.
Technician identity, vetting, contact and roster records are kept while the technician remains active, then for seven years after the end of the Pakistan tax year in which they leave the roster or their last related record is created, whichever is later. Standalone enquiries and messages follow seven years after the tax year of the last message. Journey coordinates are an exception: they are short-lived and cleared as described in section 12, not kept for seven years.
Stored website records are protected against deletion before their retention deadline or during a recorded hold.
The 45-day management work-photo access limit remains separate from seven-year storage retention. After the access window, stored work photographs remain available to the customer and authorised assigned technician until lawful deletion; management does not regain access because the records are retained. Receipts and payment proof are not subject to the 45-day cutoff.
Reviews are kept while the technician remains on the roster and your account exists, unless you ask us to remove one.
Where you ask us to delete your account, we do so within 30 days of verifying your request, except for records we are required to keep or that are needed for an open dispute.
11. Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your name, email address and saved addresses in the My details section of your account at any time.
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.
You can withdraw consent for promotional messages at any time by replying STOP or telling us on 0371 427 4310.
Ratings and reviews are optional, and you can ask us to remove a review you posted.
To make any of these requests, email FIDXMANAGEMENT@GMAIL.COM, write to 278 EE, Phase 4, DHA Lahore, or contact us on 0371 427 4310 by phone or WhatsApp. We may need to check that you are the account holder. We answer requests within 30 days and there is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us and we will review it with you.
12. Technicians' information
Technician accounts are created by FIXD management and issued privately by invitation; technicians are not able to sign themselves up.
A technician can see the jobs assigned to them, their own notes and photographs, and their own earnings. They cannot see other technicians' jobs or earnings.
FIXD uses customer ratings and reviews to monitor service quality. Only eligible reviews whose customers separately consent to anonymous publication are shown on the homepage.
Vetting records are held by FIXD management and are not shown to customers.
Journey location is shared only when an assigned technician chooses On My Way and agrees to phone location access. FIXD management alone can view the current coordinates, accuracy and update time; customers cannot access them. Google Maps receives coordinates to display the private map and may process them outside Pakistan under its own terms. Updates replace the previous location; no route history is recorded. Sharing requires the website to remain open and may pause when the phone locks. It stops when work starts, the booking is cancelled or reassigned, the technician becomes inactive, or the technician stops it. Sessions expire after four hours and expired locations immediately become unavailable. Coordinates and accuracy are cleared on an explicit or job-triggered stop, and automatic expiry cleanup runs every minute even if the technician closes the website. Subject to successful cleanup operation, expired coordinates are cleared within one minute; they do not wait for another journey to overwrite them. Session metadata may remain, but expired coordinates are not retained as seven-year records.
13. Security
We use encrypted connections, private storage for job photographs and receipts, and access controls that limit who can see booking and job data to the people who need it for the job.
No method of storage is completely secure. If you believe your information has been exposed through FIXD, tell us on 0371 427 4310 immediately so we can investigate.
14. Children
FIXD is a service for adults aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child's information has reached us, tell us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice. The current version is always the one published on this page, with its last-updated date at the top.
Where a change materially affects what we do with your information, we will also tell you in your FIXD account or by message.
